Communities own it completely. It is never used to train AI models, never shared without permission, never sold. Communities can delete everything at any time. No backup copies, no retention period — gone means gone.
Yes. When an Elder passes, their content is immediately locked pending community guidance. We've built this in as a first-class feature, not an afterthought. Communities set the sorry period — it can be months or years. Names can be substituted. Content can be permanently restricted. Nothing is shared without explicit community direction.
At any time, immediately, no questions asked. This includes removing content that has been shared, linked to, or embedded elsewhere. The right to remove is absolute and permanent.
Any language can be recorded and transcribed. We currently have word databases for Djab wurrung, Yorta Yorta, Bininj Kunwok, and Yolŋu Matha — with more added regularly in partnership with communities and language centres.
